Coloring in the Obliteration Room

What do you get when you give kids rainbow stickers and let them loose in a room that’s painted white from ceiling to floor? This inspiring art installation, which infused a little color into the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art last winter.

Over a two-week period, the museum gave its young visitors stickers and let them decorate the all-white room. This is what they created in artist Yayoi Kusama’s Obliteration Room:

It just comes to show that tapping into our inherent creativity doesn’t take rocket science. Sometimes, all it takes is the right environment, or even a few stickers.
